Our scholarship program supports girls between 9th and 12th grade. One of our focal points, which helps us stand out among organizations in this area, is that we specifically aim to identify girls with both a high chance of dropping out and academic potential. Our past experience has shown us that this is the formula with the highest impact.
Besides relying on social, financial and academic indicators, we actively engage with schools on the ground and talk to school and community stakeholders before admitting girls to our program.
Selected girls receive 100% scholarships that cover all school-related costs until graduation, e.g. fees, books, stationery, uniforms and in some cases accommodation. Depending on each girl's need, we may also organize and fund extra school tutoring/tuition to help give the girls the tools they need to succeed in school.
Our local community hero serves as an on-the-ground coordinator and helps our scholars with logistics, school-related matters, and general mentoring.
