Our objective is to empower girls and give them the tools and resources they need to become independent and thrive in their communities. We select girls that exhibit two characteristics (1) they face difficult financial circumstances and (2) despite this they have demonstrated high academic potential. Then we help fundamentally change the equation these girls face by closing the financial gap and providing them with a support network. Our work is empowerment, not charity.
How We Select Girls
We rely on a quantitative model and qualitative evaluations of every application to select girls that we feel fit our criteria.

"Girls who receive an education are less likely to marry young and more likely to lead healthy, productive lives. They earn higher incomes, participate in the decisions that most affect them, and build better futures for themselves and their families."
Our Impact So Far
We have gone from 7 to 207 scholarships in only five years, and our ambition continues to grow. We're constantly looking for ways to improve our scholarship offering, from private tutoring to mentorship to computer skills courses and mental health. Let's build this next chapter together.
